Mrs Sakeena Hussain is a Home Science graduate with Child Development as Major from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. She has been in the Education field for 10 yrs as a Lecturer and as Principal/Administrator at Maple Bear Koramangala since its inception.

Toddler (1. 5 - 3. 0 Years)

The minimum age for admission at this level is 18 months. In the toddler years, children begin to experiment on a more advanced level than at the infant stage. Their range of motor skills increases, and they begin to progress to a higher cognitive level. Toddlers learn with their entire bodies- they move about constantly, touching everything, experiencing all things, and solving problems on a physical level. Their language skills, in this period of time, are rapidly developing. The “job” of a toddler is to develop his/her self-help skills while pushing for separateness and independence. As a result, toddlers are constantly testing limits.

Nursery (3. 0 - 4. 0 Years)

Our nursery program provides a rich classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and are challenged to learn. Your children will make new friends and develop self-confidence as they strengthen their cognitive skills. Observe your child demonstrate new learning and thrive in our stimulating classroom environment- while having fun!

Jkg & Skg (4. 0 - 6. 0 Years)

Lower Kindergarten or JKG is a critical time for children, as it is here that they begin an adventure of a lifetime of learning. Every day, your child is learning and experiencing more, which is why our program is designed to constantly challenge. At our centres, children are in a secure environment they know and love, which makes learning more effective and fun. Our SKG curriculum meets and even exceeds state and national content standards for the first-grade, making sure your child is prepared to excel at the next level.

    At Maple Bear child securities is of utmost important, we always maintain a specific teacher to student ratio of 1:15 to give enough attention to each and every kid. Also the caretaker aunties takes care of smaller kids and the school management keep an eye through CCTV cameras installed in the school premises. Security personal are appointed at the entrance gate as well in the premises to avoid any kind of misfortunes.

At Maple Bear, we encourage our families to read together to strengthen the connection within the family as well as the development of literacy skills. Children are never too young to start reading. Even at a few months old, reading helps with communication, memory and fosters a special bond between you and your child.
